Gss have become aware of fake employment offers that have been made in the name of GSS via non-GSS websites & emails imitating GSS and GSS email addresses through communication platforms.

Many of these schemes consist of an offer of employment, or a contract with GSS, along with the use of counterfeit checks. These schemes often request upfront payment for training, tools, insurance or travel, as well as banking information.

Use of the GSS name and logo in these schemes is unauthorized and illegal.

GSS does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process. Any requests of payment or banking information should raise a red flag and be reported to the authorities for appropriate action. Please also inform our in-house (Mail GSS Corporate Security Department)

Fraudulent schemes may use the following approaches to appear legitimate:

• Correspondence falsely signed in the name of real GSS employees, or people purporting to be an employee of GSS
• Documents and websites may contain official-looking GSS letterhead, including the company logo or name
• Correspondence including email or web site addresses, including the words "GSS", “Marine”, “Services” or similar, or the URL of a real or fictitious GSS website

Should you have any concerns about the authenticity of a job offer said to be issued by GSS, please submit a copy of the offer to the Gss Corporate Security Department (email address below)  We will advise if the offer is legitimate, and in cases where the offer is not, we will investigate and take action as required.
