Shoalbusters |
Ella F is a revolutionary new evolution in workboat design, the concept delivers a vessel with power of a tug, the versatility of a shoalbuster, and yet she is able to operate in the shallow water that is normally reserved for the small multicats. A truly unique and ground breaking concept. Ella F is also an ideal option for Survey work and or UXO clearance.
The SMS Shoalbuster is a sturdy and robust tug suited to all types of marine work including towing, mooring, anchor handling and dredge support. Tug boats are the traditional workhorses of the sea and the Shoalbuster 2609 is 26 metres in length, and boasts 2200 BHP, with a bollard pull of over 31 tonnes. It’s capable of over 11 knots and has unlimited range, with accommodation for six crew. It was built in 2009 by the Damen Shipyard in Holland.
Robustly built with demanding duties in mind, the Liz F is an example of the largest Shoalbuster at the time of build. Her design brief makes her a specialist in towing and pushing, dredging support, harbour construction and maintenance, buoy and anchor handling, deck and liquid transport, pollution control and many other aspects of marine operations. She will happily operate in harbours, coastal areas, inland waters, shallow waters as well as offshore.
Optimised for operation on site in shallow waters and able to carry out a wide range of lifting, anchor handling and transportation services and also have a significant coastal towing capability. Laurie M has proved to be an outstanding performer in the marine civil engineering and dredging arena. Her raised bow and foredeck allows her to hold a Bureau Veritas unrestricted navigation certificate and still operate in shallow waters.
