The GSS Marine Services fleet of work vessels comprises a range of multi-purpose boats, shoalbusters, barges and other smaller craft specially designed for supporting a wide variety of offshore marine services, including construction, engineering and repair and maintenance projects on water or on the shore.

Mena C – 2611

Mean C

The Mena C Euro Carrier 2611 is built to the same specifications as the Martine P and, like its sister ship, is capable of 10 knots with lifting capacity of up to 26 tons from forward and aft cranes. It is equipped with a full range of navigation and communication facilities.

Martine P

The Martine P has quickly proved her suitability for a variety of marine projects. Dredge support, cable laying, anchor handling, barge support, wind farm operations and port and harbour construction operations are all easily within her capabilities. Her modern design and specification makes her an efficient, economic vessel providing excellent accommodation and welfare facilities for her operatives.

Aileen M – 2510

Aileen M

A Eurocarrier 2510 launched in 2010, the Aileen M can work up to 150 miles offshore and is designed with a narrow-footprint superstructure to maximise clear deckspace for a working platform that can take a load of 3.5 tons per square metre and is equipped with a crane capable of lifting 9000kg.

Sandy M – 2395

Sandy M

The Sandy M, a Euro Carrier 2395, is a multi purpose vessel with a length of 23.95m and a beam of 9.54m, equipped with crane and 70-ton twin drum winch and with a wide roller at the bow, making it ideal for anchor handling. It’s capable of 10 knots.

Leanne P – 2395

Leanne P

Built by Neptune, the Leanne P is a complement of machinery that makes her suitable for a huge range of marine works of the most complex nature. Her high deck load capability and generous deck area makes her a reliable working platform and her four heated and air conditioned cabins ensure high productivity from her crew.

Morag M – 2209

Morag M

A Eurocarrier 22, the Morag M was launched in 2009, the second of three vessels commissioned from Neptune Marine in Holland, with a bollard pull of 16 tonnes and rated to work up to 60 miles offshore.

Multi-Role Vessels are strong and versatile workhorses, designed to provide a stable work platform capable of considerable precision.

The Megan M, built by Mustang Marine and launched in 2007, is a strong, flexible and versatile Multi-Role Vessel, which was commissioned to improve our already strong performance in the marine civil engineering field.

Laura M, MRV 20

Laura 1

One of the strongest and most versatile boats in the sector, the Laura M, built in 2002, is designed to maximise the capabilities of a 20x8m working platform, capable of taking a 40ft container on deck or a 20ft storage box and an 18ft portable site office.

Mary M, MRV 15

Mary M1

Launched in 1999, the Mary M is loosely based on the tried and tested Multicat format, but with many unique design features and superior specifications making her able to punch well above her weight.

Small Boats

GSS has a number of rigid and rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), these are all-purpose work horses capable of use as workboats, for dive support and for safety boat work, as well as a range of other functions.

Their light weight combined with their capacity, shallow draught, speed and manoeuvrability – not to mention their sturdiness – make them ideal for numerous applications.

Versatile and easily transportable by road, they are in use all over the UK on different projects, both on their own and in conjunction with other vessels.

GSS provide pontoons from 10m – 150m all classed by BV, additionally GSS can provide sectional pontoons which can be assembled in various configurations for in land use.

Recent pontoon and barge activity has included.

Provision of 150m barge in West Africa with 6 point CT mooring system and 350t manned crawler crane. This unit acted as a floating quayside for discharging of ships.

Movement of offshore wind farm components from UK to Europe, GSS provide the loading, lashing and towage of various items for and off shore wind farm installation.

Provision of flat top classed barge in West Africa for the support of pipeline installation.

All pontoons and sectional pontoons are classed by BV for world-wide service.
